When I worked as a research scientist I’d come up with a theory (like: parasitic wasp venom could contain proteins to treat auto immune disease), I’d then design and an experiment test the idea.

After completing the experiments I’d review the results to see what worked. I always learned more from the experiments that didn’t work. There was never a failed experiment.

When most people launch, they do ALL THE HARD WORK. The super hard bits. They have an idea, they design their launch, they get a sales page, emails, social copy and send it into the world… all the hard stuff.

Then they judge their entire launch on one metric. Sales.

And then they move on…..

Imagine if scientists only looked at one metric…. imagine if the scientists at Pfizer looked at the results of their newest heart drug and concluded it didn’t work well because heart rate was the only thing they were interested in. There’d be no Viagra.

(Srsly: erections were a side effect of the heart drug they were testing ๐Ÿ˜†) …. a drug that now makes them $1.8billion per year.

This is why I’ve taken everything I learned as a scientist, and all the things that drove me crazy working on big launches (so-many-things) and came up with a simple launch plan that removes all the stressy parts so you can launch often, with more ease.

Sustainable Launch Method

A launch doesn’t have to be large to be wildly profitable. Keeping your launch simple to start with, and then improving it over time will give you the joy, finance and freedom you’re looking for without the stress and sleep deprivation.


Plan. Like everything depends on it.

Know who you are talking to. Know what you need to say to get them to say yes. And make sure you have a strategy written down.

In this first stage you actually get all of the assets you need: your sales page, your emails, your checkout page… everything you need to launch written AND published before you tell anyone.

Most people try to skip this step and cram it in during pre-launch. Try not too.

From my lab it would be things like “Hey, here’s a photo of a parasitic wasp. Want to know how I’m going to use this to try to cure auto immune disease?”

For your launch you may want to:

Tease- share logo images, screenshots and the name as you talk about what’s coming next.

Offer a freebie – this is where you may choose to offer a download, free challenge or masterclass.

One thing is for sure. If you’re not doing this already – add it into your next launch and watch joyfully from the sidelines.

This is where you open the cart. And be a human (<– some people forget this last part.)

Your assets are eyeball-able on the internet but you should still be talking to people, replying to messages and making sure things work… like the checkout button. I’ve seen this stop working mid-launch more than once!
